Free Shauchalay Yojana 2025: The Government of India launched the Free Shauchalay Yojana under the Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM) to promote cleanliness and hygiene in rural as well as urban areas. Through this scheme, the government provides financial assistance to poor families for building toilets in their homes. The aim is to eliminate open defecation and ensure a clean and healthy environment for all citizens.

Eligibility Criteria

To avail benefits of this scheme, applicants must fulfill the following conditions:

• The applicant must be a citizen of India.

How to Apply for Free Shauchalay Yojana

Online Application Process

1. Visit the official website: https://swachhbharatmission.gov.in.

2. Go to the “Apply for Individual Household Latrine (IHHL)” section.

3. Fill out the application form with your personal and household details.

4. Upload the necessary documents.

1. Visit your nearest Gram Panchayat or Municipal Office.

5. After verification, ₹12,000 will be transferred directly to your bank account for toilet construction.
